How to use TradeDream
A six-step tour from the first sign-up to your first simulated trade. Everything you do here is paper-only — there is no real money, no brokerage account, no risk of loss. The only thing at stake is what you learn.
- 1Create your account
Visit /login and pick the Sign up tab. Enter an email and password. Confirm your email if confirmation is enabled on the deployment — you will be signed in once you click the link. A simulated $100,000 portfolio is provisioned automatically the moment your account is created.
Sign up → - 2Choose the sectors you want to follow
Open the SaaS Portfolio (Beta) page from the navbar. Use the "Followed sectors" panel to select the parts of the market you care about. The shared research feed will filter to those sectors — leave the list empty to see picks from every sector.
Open SaaS Portfolio → - 3Review today’s suggested trades
The Suggested trades card shows the latest daily research snapshot, filtered by your sectors. Each row exposes the reasoning, the dependency strength, and the quality composite score. Read these before acting — they are the whole point of the simulator.
- 4Accept, reject, or snooze
Use Accept to fire a simulated market buy at the latest quote (with a quantity you choose). Use Reject to log the decision without buying. Snooze keeps the pick visible for now but stays out of your active set. Every action is recorded against your account.
- 5Trade manually whenever you want
The trade panel on the SaaS Portfolio page lets you buy or sell any symbol against the live market data feed. Fills are instant, paper-only, and logged forever in the immutable transactions table.
- 6Monitor your portfolio
Watch your cash balance, current holdings, mark-to-market value, and full trade history. Compare your decisions over time. This is the part that builds intuition.
